THESE stunning pictures show the interior of a seaside paradise being sold by Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour for £15 million.

The former 19th-century bathhouse had been discussed for several years before David and his wife Polly bought the site in 2015 with plans to restore the derelict building.

However, close inspection revealed the structure was unsound so plans were drawn up to replace the building with a design that captured the same aesthetic.

Designed by award-winning architect Keb Gavarito-Bruhn, Medina House on Hove seafront is considered to be one of the most expensive properties in the city, with views out to sea, a recording studio, and log-burning and gas-operated open fires.

By the time the custom-built mansion was complete towards the end of 2020, it had become surplus to requirements after the couple’s two children moved to London.

The property incorporates the distinctive crow-stepped Dutch gable of the original building, which dated back to 1894, with some of the surviving glazed ceramic tiles that once adorned the walls of a seawater pool retained.

Many of the five-bedroom property’s rooms offer beautiful views over the English Channel.

There is a soothing zen-inspired garden at the centre of it, landscaped by garden designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd.

The home also has an array of modern technology including a ground source heat pump, underfloor heating boosted by automatically operated fan-assisted trench heaters, as well as a comprehensive wireless network, Kef sound system and Apple TV installation.

There is a wine store with its own controlled air conditioning units, a CCTV system with remote monitoring, a fire alarm system with misting fire suppression and a gym.

The mansion also has three bathrooms, a shower room, library, sauna, study, office, an orangery, and a remote-controlled door entry system with biometric fingerprint access.

David’s self-contained state-of-the-art recording studio, once the painting studio of artist Ida Verner, complete with private parking for several cars is also included with the property. The studio also has its own canoe store.

The property is not far from “Millionaire’s Row” at the end of Western Esplanade in Hove, where stars including Adele, David Walliams and Fatboy Slim have all been resident over the years.

Although he is selling off his Hove haven, David still lives in Sussex, with a home on a farm in Wisborough Green, near Horsham.

David and Polly said: "The main bedroom, with sea views in all directions, is a beautiful place from which to watch the sunrise and sunset across the sea.

"At night, it's intoxicating to watch from bed the moon reflected in the water.

"When you wake up in the morning, the view is always a surprise: the sea and sky are never the same.

"It's a huge advantage not to have a busy road and traffic between us and the sea.

"We love the drama of winter storms over the water.

"Amazing to run across the beach to swim and hop back to the house for a sauna."
