SOME flights will be cancelled at Gatwick Airport due to “poor weather conditions”.
The announcement came this afternoon at 4.55pm.
There are currently 25 flights delayed from departing the airport.
Dozens of arriving flights are delayed and around 40 are cancelled.
It is unclear if all cancellations and delays are due to the weather.
There has been thunderstorms, rain and wind which hit England this morning and is moving South East into central and Southern Europe.
A spokeswoman for Gatwick Airport said: “Air traffic control restrictions are currently in place across the South of England and parts of Europe due to poor weather conditions.
“This will unfortunately cause delays and cancellations to some flights today.”
