A BURST water main has flooded a road.
The pipe burst this evening around 6pm northbound before the Diplocks Roundabout, near Hailsham.
Cars can be seen driving through around “four inches of water” which is covering the carriageway.
The Argus understand that workers from South East Water are currently at the scene of the burst pipe.
The road was closed at around 8pm.
Sussex was inundated with rain today which caused some flooding on roads.
The Eastbourne line was closed for almost two hours after heavy rain caused ballast to become unstable. Network Rail inspected the line and reopened it around 6pm.
Gatwick Airport also issued an alert about delays and even cancellations to flights due to “poor weather conditions”.
South East Water has been approached for further comment on the pipe burst.
