A COMPANY is offering free bus travel from London to Brighton to help travellers avoid the rail strikes.

Following Thursday’s strike action, only a fifth of normal services will run, and half of lines will be closed on Saturday, August 20.

Trains will only operate between 7.30am and 6.30pm and will start later than normal on the following mornings.

Drinks company High Water is offering is offering an “unmissable, free trip” to Brighton on Saturday.

Travellers on a first-come, first-served basis will be picked up from London Victoria at the Apollo Theatre at 10am.

Passengers will enjoy “summer tunes and all-round good vibes” on their journey to Brighton Palace Pier – along with complimentary cans of High Water hard seltzer.

The bus will then collect passengers from the same location at 5pm, returning to London Victoria.

A High Water spokeswoman said: “With the UK’s summer of travel disruption showing no signs of easing, British hard seltzer brand High Water is stepping in to save summer plans for those craving a trip to the seaside.

“Helping Brits create memorable moments with friends this weekend, High Water is ensuring that those who share the love of the water’s edge can still get there by providing complimentary travel via the High Water bus."

Prospective passengers will need to sign up on Eventbrite to secure a free ride.

Tickets to board the High Water Bus will be served on a first come, first served basis.
