A MAN has been ordered to pay more than £600 after drug driving on the A23. 

Jonathan Burnipp, of Downland Avenue, Peacehaven, pleaded guilty on Friday, August 19 at Crawley Magistrates Court.

His vehicle had been stopped by Sussex Roads Police on April 4 this year due to visible defects.

The 32-year-old failed the DrugWipe for cannabis and cocaine. It was also found that the vehicle had been issued with a prohibition notice.

Magistrates banned him from driving for 12 months and ordered him to pay a total of £634 in fines and costs.
