For a helping of Brighton in a nutshell: take eleven of Camp Town's' finest, add a dash of panto magic, season with a smattering of smut and serve, steaming hot, to a full house of jolly punters.
Dave Lynn, who stole the show as the Stepmother in the mainstream Cinderella, twinkled with X-rated fun as the wicked fairy Vendetta who casts a spell over Princess Paris Stilton (aka Beauty), played with a virgin on the ridiculous' amount of camp by sixty-something actor David Raven.
No-one bothered with falsetto - the towering Fairy Diamonique (Robert James), for one, looked sugar sweet until s/he let rip in a surprisingly good tenor. Then there was the frankly inexplicable, yet hilarious version of Chicago's cellblock tango He Had It Coming.
This was no slick production, but the cast had such a brilliant time it was impossible not to get swept away on their tide of pink velour suits and Abba-blue eyeshadow.
