A VEGAN burger restaurant is dishing out free tattoos to celebrate its newest site this weekend.

Oowee launches in Brighton this Saturday and is giving free permanent tattoos to the first 20 customers through the door - and burgers to the first 100.

The vegan fast food restaurant is working with a Brighton tattoo artist who will tattoo pre-selected designs the same day.

And for anyone feeling really brave, the chain will be offering unlimited food for six months for those who get a tattoo of the Oowee logo.

Charlie Watson, co-founder of Oowee, said: “We’re so excited to finally be opening in the heart of Brighton.

“We cannot wait to bring Oowee to the community and help to change people's perspective on plant-based meals, reinforcing that vegan meals can be enjoyed by meat eaters just as much as vegans.”

He said the restaurant in Market Street will focus on “quality, flavour and innovation”.

It specialises in plant-based beef burgers,“famous fried Chick’n”, “delicious” dirty fries and a range of sides, house-made dips and shakes.

Brighton’s site will open at 11.30am on Saturday, August 27, and is the first outside London and founding city Bristol.
