A PAIR of newlyweds have set off across Europe in a converted camper van for their honeymoon.

Sam and Gabi Aptelis got married at Brighton Town Hall on April 30 before setting off on June 11 for their six-month trip.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to all travel the pair are making the most of their newly married life by renting out their bungalow in Hove and going on an adventure.

They have travelled all the way up to the Arctic Circle, making various stops along the way, before heading to southern Europe.

Sam, 31, who works as a structural engineer, said: “We love road trips in our vans, this is our third self-converted camper van but our biggest road trip so far.

“Seeing the reindeer in Finnish Lapland, meeting Santa and experiencing the midnight sun in the Arctic Circle have been just a couple of highlights on the trip so far.

“Many more to come as we head to the south of Europe next.”
