A NEW Italian restaurant created by an acclaimed restaurateur will open at a restored 1930s bank next month.

Tutto, which will open in Marlborough Place in Brighton, promises a traditional Italian dining experience and encourages friends and family to come together to drink and share dishes.

The restaurant is the latest creation of Brighton restaurateur Razak Helalat, who has also previously founded The Coal Shed, The Salt Room and Burnt Orange.

Dishes at the new restaurant include tomato, mozzarella and basil panzerotti, mangalitza pork sausage ragu, and a Vin Santo tiramisu.

Tutto, the Italian word for all, is opening at a Grade II-listed former bank from the 1930s, with many of the original Neo Georgian features kept and restored to create an informal dining space full of personality.

The bank’s reclaimed features are contrasted by more contemporary elements, including paintings from local artists, chandeliers and marble table tops.

The restaurant will also boast a theatre kitchen to create a welcoming space, alongside a crescent-shaped bar with a 90-bottle wine list covering the breadth of Italy.

Taking the reigns as head chef will be Mirella Pau, bringing years of experience in her first kitchen outside of London, having previously served at Cafe Murano and Padella.

Tutto will open its doors to the public on September 15, with a soft launch from September 6 to 15.
