A LARGE number of police and ambulances have been spotted near the Palace Pier after an incident.
Several police cars and ambulances could be seen parked by the entrance to the pier and along Grand Junction Road in Brighton, with a helicopter also spotted circling over Brighton seafront earlier this evening.
An eyewitness said that part of the beach has been sealed off while emergency services deal with the incident.
Sussex Police, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the RNLI have been contacted for comment.
