New Church Road, Hove
FIRE crews attended after two motorbikes were deliberately set on fire.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to New Church Road in Hove at around 6am yesterday morning.
Two motorbikes were found to have been set alight.
A passer-by told The Argus that the fire was about waist height near the entrance of St Leonard’s Church.
Two crews from Hove and Brighton used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
A spokesman for ESFR said: “The cause of the fire was deemed deliberate.
“We left the scene at 6.27am.”
