I would like to pass on a little bit of cheer that I witnessed on a visit to the post office in Lower Bevendean.
I saw seven little children outside the post office having their photo taken. They were all holding an envelope with a stamp on it. Their smiles were radiant and when I inquired what they were doing, I was told they had all written their mothers a card. The teachers had given them some small change and they had each waited their turn at the post office counter and bought a stamp to post their cards.
What a simply lovely idea from the teachers. It made my day. Such joy on their tiny faces. All who were involved should be commended.
