Good luck to the Foxhill Association which is trying to block development between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill (The Argus, February 28).
With new targets for building houses, now more than ever it is important for residents to fight development on greenfield sites.
If it was left up to the Secretary of State there would be no open, green spaces left in this once green and pleasant land.
It doesn't seem that the infrastructure is being improved to accommodate these new houses. Where are the improvements to the water supply, schools, public transport links and roads?
Without these in place the result is obvious - more water shortages, more congestion, more overcrowding and a general deterioration of living standards.
What happened to concentrating on brownfield sites for development? This is a lovely area, important for both recreation and wildlife.
It should not be paved over.
