The A24 has now reopened between the Buckbarn and Southwater junctions following a crash.
The road was closed in both directions earlier this afternoon after the incident involving two vehicles.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene alongside Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service.
