Littlehampton Coastguard and Portsmouth Diving and Threat Exploitation Group responded after an ordnance was found on Climping beach
A BOMB squad was called after an ordnance was found.
Littlehampton Coastguard was alerted to the ordnance found on Climping beach, Littlehampton.
The ordnance was safely disposed of by Portsmouth Diving and Threat Exploitation Group using a controlled detonation.
A spokesman from Littlehampton Coastguard said: “Ordnance on the coast can come in all shapes and sizes.
"If you find something suspicious call 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
