A TRAMPOLINE has been wedged between roofs after being blown away during stormy weather.
Sussex and southern England were battered by heavy rain and thunderstorms overnight, with the night sky being lit up by strikes of lightning.
As the county was battered by strong winds, the storm managed to pick up an 18-foot trampoline and plant it between two roofs in Sunningdale Road in Worthing.
A yellow weather warning had been issued by the Met Office for Brighton and western parts of Sussex overnight due to the thunderstorm.
While conditions are expected to be more settled today, with some sunny spells, more thunder and lighting is expected tomorrow evening, with wet weather set to persist until the end of the week.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: "At 12.34am we responded to a dangerous structure at Sunningdale Road, Durrington.
"Joint Fire Control sent one fire engine from Worthing to the scene.
"Upon arrival crews found an 18 foot trampoline wedged between the roofs of two properties. Firefighters were able to dismantle the trampoline and stabilise the structure.
"Crews left the scene at 1.08am.”
