A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a fight broke out near a town garden.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Glamis Street in Bognor following a report of four men fighting.
Ambulance crews provided first aid to the man, who was then taken to hospital.
An air ambulance was called to the incident, but it was later decided that the man would be taken to hospital by road.
Officers are conducting enquiries, with a heightened police presence in the area.
A police spokesman said that the fight, which took place around 8.30pm yesterday, is believed to be “an isolated incident that does not pose a risk of harm to the wider community”.
