Omar Deghayes
Spanish authorities have dropped extradition proceedings against former British Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Deghayes, his solicitor Gareth Peirce said today.
Proceedings have also been dropped against fellow detainee Jamil el-Banna.
Omar, from Saltdean, spent months in the Cuban jail without charge.
The Argus has campaigned for Omar to be given a fair trial.
