VICTIMS of crime are urged to report incidents online after police reported "technical difficulties" with a phone service.
Sussex Police have said they are experiencing "disruption" to their 101 non-emergency line and have asked the public to use their online reporting system to alert officers to non-urgent matters.
The emergency 999 service is unaffected by the issue.
A police spokesman said: "We are experiencing technical difficulties with our 101 service.
"If possible, please use our online reporting system to make us aware of non-urgent matters.
"Our 999 calls for emergencies only are unaffected."
Non-urgent matters can be reported at www.sussex.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime.
