CAROLINE Lucas has offered her “thoughts and best wishes” to the Queen after she was put under medical supervision.

Members of the Royal Family have rushed to Balmoral to be by the Queen’s side amid serious health fears for the nation’s longest-reigning monarch.

A spokesman for Buckingham Palace said earlier this morning that the Queen “remains comfortable” with doctors “concerned for Her Majesty’s health”.

In a post on social media, the Green MP for Brighton Pavilion said: “My thoughts and best wishes are with the Queen and her family on the news of her ill health - wishing her well at this difficult time.”

Messages expressing deep concern flooded in from political leaders, while the Archbishop of Canterbury said the “prayers of the nation” are with the Queen.

Prime Minister Liz Truss said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace.

“My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
