SHEEP have been the main attraction of the day as revellers came together to visit the Findon Sheep Fair.

The fair, which dates back as far as the 13th century, took place this year having previously been cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pictures from the fair show people enjoying everything that the fair had to offer including traditional fairground rides, food and drink and a petting area for sheep.

The fair is also famous for its dancing sheep, where sheep that being judged can be seen jigging from side to side.

The event was curtailed as part of lockdown restrictions in previous years but has been running in some form for over 200 years.

A royal charter is also in place for the event which dates back to 1261.
