A STUNNING seaside home owned by a rock and roll icon is still on sale.

David Gilmour's property in King's Esplanade, Hove, was completed just two years ago, but went on sale for £15 million last month.

It is thought to be one of the most expensive homes in the city, boasting views out to the English Channel, a state-of-the-art recording studio, and log-burning and gas-operated open fires.

Planning permission to demolish the original building, a bathhouse dating back to 1894, was granted in 2017 after the structure was found to be beyond repair.

David and wife Polly Samson have listed the home with flash estate agents Pereds, which has a history of flogging huge properties in sought after locations.

There is an adjoining cottage to the home, and private parking for up to seven cars.

In an advert, the couple said: "The main bedroom, with sea views in all directions, is a beautiful place from which to watch the sunrise and sunset across the sea.

"At night, it's intoxicating to watch from bed the moon reflected in the water.

"It's a huge advantage not to have a busy road and traffic between us and the sea.

"We love the drama of winter storms over the water.”
