PEOPLE fleeing from a reported fight in the city crashed a car as they left, causing huge damage to another vehicle.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Norfolk Square, Brighton, at around 9.15pm on September 11.

Some of the group then got into a silver BMW which left the area at speed, before it crashed into a parked car.

The BMW was later found badly damaged and abandoned in Nizells Avenue.

One parked vehicle suffered severe damage to its rear and was forced into a tree.

Debris was littered across the road.

Another vehicle in the was seen with a broken rear window, but it is not clear whether this was linked to the incident.

Shards of glass from the rear passenger window were strewn across the back seats and on the ground.

Sussex Police say enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesman said: "A report was received of a fight in Norfolk Square, Brighton at about 9.15pm on September 11.
"Some of the group were seen to get into a silver BMW which made off from the scene at speed, hitting a parked car in the process.
"The BMW was later found damaged and abandoned in Nizells Avenue."

Meanwhile, a crash between a lorry and a car at Poling Corner in West Sussex yesterday morning saw the A27 partially blocked, leading to a long queue of traffic.
