A MAN has died in a fatal collision involving a lorry and a motorcycle on the A27.

The 35-year-old motorcycle rider died at the scene of the accident near Lewes which took place at around 7.30am on Tuesday, September 20.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by serious or inconsiderate driving. He has since been released under investigation.

The crash is said to have occured on the eastbound junction between the Beddingham and Southerham roundabouts.

The A27 was closed for a number of hours while police and forensics teams examined the scene. The road has since been re-opened.

A lorry was scene parked on the side of the A27 which was being searched by forensics teams.
