A POWER cut has caused chaos at Gatwick Airport train station with passengers being warned to leave extra time for their journey.
The outage is thought to have primarily affected the train station meaning that carriages were unable to run for a period of around an hour.
The incident was first reported around 11.30am on Wednesday, September 21, before being resolved shortly after 12.30pm.
In a statement on Twitter, a spokesman for Gatwick Airport said that: "Gatwick Airport train station is currently closed due to a power outage in the local area.

The power outage has since been resolved, but minor delays are still expected as services return back to normal.
Staff are said to be present at the train station and assissting passengers.
