A POWER cut has left a large number of people without electricity.
Residents near Whitehawk are experiencing an outage, with the problems said to be caused by a failing cable.
The outage is expected to affect around 800 people in the BN2 5 postcode area.
According to UK Power Network, the reason for the power cut has been that "an underground electricity cable has faulted on our high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut".
Currently power is expected to be down until between 6pm and 7pm on Wednesday, September 21.
