TRUCK loads of flowers and the UK's oldest working white horse hearse were used at a funeral 'fit for a queen'.

Tina Chatfield, who died on Friday, September 9, aged 65, was mourned at a lavish funeral at St. Stephen's Church in North Mundham near Chichester on Thursday, September 22.

The horse-drawn hearse led a group of hundreds of people who walked in the procession behind the coffin.

Ian Hart, the undertaker at the funeral, said: "It was a very dignified send off for a very special lady.

"Ms Chatfield had an excellent funeral which was fit for a queen."

Over 500 mourners at the funeral walked in a procession behind the coffin as it made its way to the church.

Men in black suits and top hats led the group in front of the hearse, with the white horses wearing pink feathers. As many as six trucks full of flowers were sent to remember Ms Chatfield.

The service was led by Reverend Canon Bruce Ruddock, chaplain of Chichester Cathedral.
