PEOPLE are being given the chance to watch a re-enactment of one of the most famous battles in English history.
Tickets are now on sale for a Battle of Hastings re-enactment on October 15 and October 16 on the very spot where King Harold and Duke William fought in 1066.
Hundreds of soldiers will recreate the drama of the pivotal battle which decided the fate of England almost a thousand years ago.
There will also be the chance to witness falconers and their birds of prey, while spectators can wander around the medieval market that will be set up.
Events delivery manager for English Heritage Rebecca Hornby said: “The Battle of Hastings is one of the biggest re-enactor events in the country, and also recreates one of the most defining battles of English history.
“But not just that, visitors can truly immerse themselves in Norman and Saxon life exploring the encampments and meeting soldiers from both sides ahead of the battle.
“We cannot wait to welcome everyone to this year’s event and put on a spectacular show for them.”
This year will also have a comedy show where you can meet some of the historical figures of the famous battle in 1066.
There will also be archery, sword classes and live music throughout the day.
