A ROAD was partially blocked and an air ambulance was in attendance following a crash.

The accident happened this afternoon at around 1.30pm on the A267 Little London Road at Heathfield.

The air ambulance was called along with at least three road ambulances.

It is unclear how serious injuries  are and how many cars are involved.

The air ambulance landed at a nearby field.

The road was closed for over an hour.

Recovery work to clear the vehicles was still ongoing at 3.30pm

The road has since been reopened and delays are easing.

Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
