FOUR men have been arrested after a shop was broken into and burgled in the middle of the night.
Police in Brighton made the arrests after responding to the burglary, which was in progress, in Woodingdean, this morning.
Officers were called shortly after midnight to the shop in Warren Road, with several people seen fleeing in a white truck.
The vehicle was located nearby in Whitehawk and a search of the area found two men hiding in some bushes.
Another man was seen running across a field after officers deployed a drone. He was located and arrested.
Further enquiries identified a fourth man at an address in Brighton, who was also taken into custody.
The four men aged between 21 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in custody at this time.
