A NEW drama that premiered on ITV on Monday features a horrifying machete attack.

In January 2015, Zack Davies attacked 24-year-old dentist, Dr Sarandev Bhambra with a machete whilst screaming “white power” at Tesco Supermarket in what was described by the judge as a ‘shocking case’.

The incident shook people living in the area and the crime has now been dramatised in ITV’s latest series.

The Walk-in recreates the moment Zack Davies attacked Dr Bhambra in the supermarket.

The incident, in Mold, North Wales, serves as the opening moment of the first episode in the new series.

The Walk-In is set at a time of political unrest, as the Brexit vote looms and tension are high following the murder of MP Jo Cox.

As the far right seizes strength during the time, activist Matthew Collins (Stephen Graham) from the advocacy group Hope Not Hate plans to stop them from gaining followers and power.

He helps formulate plans to infiltrate the far-right extremist group National Action after the police have gathered limited intelligence on the group.
