THREE people and a dog were rescued from the coast of Brighton after their yacht broke down.
Coastguard teams and a crew from Shoreham RNLI were called to the stricken 40ft yacht, just south of Brighton Marina late yesterday night.
The lifeboat crew located the vessel and set up a tow before taking her into the safety of the marina.
Teams from Shoreham RNLI were also called to a report of a man believed to be trying to enter the sea near Hove, with emergency services carrying out a search along the shoreline.
The man was later found near Brunswick Square by police and taken into their care.
