A motorcyclist has been left with life-threatening injuries after a collision with a car at a junction.
The 18-year-old remains in hospital following the crash at the junction of Chichester Road and Hawthorn Road in Bognor.
A 44-year-old man, from Chichester, who was driving the car has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
He has now been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
The crash happened on Friday night at around 6.50pm and involved the Alfa Romeo Giuletta and a Honda pit motorbike.
The road was closed for several hours for vehicle recovery and investigation work to take place.
Sergeant Mark Farrow said: "We are appealing for witnesses to this serious collision and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles involved prior to the collision.
"We would like to hear from anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident."
