Train services from Gatwick are delayed after a vehicle hit a railway bridge.
The crash happened before 10am at Coulsdon South between Gatwick and East Croydon.
Southern Rail confirmed that services in the area will see delays and cancellations.
Services are being diverted via Redhill currently.
The rail operator said people can use their tickets for Metrobus services between Redhill, Coulsdon South, Merstham, Purley, Gatwick Airport and Crawley.
Commuters are advised to allow 15 minutes extra travel time.
The bridge was inspected just after 10.30am and declared safe.
A Southern Rail spokeswoman said: "The bridge has now been inspected and declared safe to travel over.
"Services are now resuming as normal, but passengers in the Merstham and Coulsdon South area should allow extra time for their journey."
