A man has been charged after a man was found outside a property with “serious injuries” in the early hours.

Anthony Cosstick, 57, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place following an incident in Southview Road in Peacehaven on October 9.

The man was taken to hospital and is still being treated for his injuries.

Cosstick, of Collingwood Close, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 13, and was released on bail. He is due to appear before the court on Thursday, November 10.

A 54-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man are still under investigation in relation to the incident. The woman was arrested for causing grievous bodily harm with intent and the man for conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

Sussex Police officers are still searching for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Alloa.
