A person stopped for driving with a revoked licence has been arrested after testing positive for cocaine.
Sussex Police stopped the person yesterday evening at around 6pm on the A259 near Beacon Road in Seaford.
The BMW X1 has been seized and the driver arrested.
It comes after members of Sussex Police and Project Edward, including police and crime commissioner Katy Bourne, attended a road safety event in Brighton yesterday.
"Every Day Without a Road Death" is part of a national effort which aims to promote safer vehicles, roads and driving.
The project helps raise awareness about the fatal five, limiting car use, as well as how to make roads and neighbourhoods safer.
