ARMED police remain at the scene of an incident in Brighton.
The officers have been seen at Ditchling Road, with the road closed off.
Residents have told The Argus they have heard three shots.
One resident said: "There is a suspect on the roof, undercover police are everywhere.
"Three shots were heard."
Another said: "There's a gunman on the roof."
One passerby said they did not think anybody had been hurt.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police responded to a disturbance in Ditchling Road at 6pm.
“A section of the road has been closed as officers remain in attendance.
“Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area.
“This is being treated as an isolated incident with no threat to the wider community.”
