A new clinic is offering walk-in MRI scans.

Living Room Health opened in East Street, Brighton, on Thursday, October 13.

The clinic is “dedicated to bringing affordable and accessible self-pay healthcare” to the country’s high streets.

Brighton will be the first clinic to open with others in Paddington, Battersea, Richmond and Kingston and plans to expand further over the next four years.

Simon Checkley, chief executive of Living Room Health, said: “We have worked extensively with patients, clinicians and medical practitioners to create a highly accessible offering that will give people immediate access to the services that they need.

“Our presence will complement the life-saving work of the NHS, who we love, respect and admire, but will empower people to seek immediate treatments for a broad range of conditions that they may be struggling with. We are accessible, affordable and we are coming to a high street near you.”

The price for a single body part starts from £250, two body parts from £450 and a full body MRI scan is from £1,500.

The clinic also offers services for joint pain, sports injuries, bracing, ear wax removal and more.

It says it provides a “fast, efficient and reliable” service and has a wide range of specialists.

The clinic was opened by children's charity Rockinghorse last week.

Rockinghorse is one of Living Room Health's chosen charities.

Amanda Hetherington, corporate engagement manager for the charity, said: “We are delighted that Living Room Health has chosen to be one of the sponsors for our glitter ball next March.

"Support like this from the local business community means such a lot to us; it helps us put on amazing fundraising events for our supporters and even more importantly, helps us support thousands of babies, children and young people within our local community.”
