A man has died following a vehicle crash on a rural road.

The 24-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene following an incident on Kennel Hill in Goodwood. There were no passengers in the car.

The crash occurred at around 5.10am on Tuesday, October 18. Police are now appealing for information regarding the incident.

Flowers have been left at the scene of the crash as well as a banner wrapped around a tree paying tribute to the victim, who is described as a “gentleman”.

Police have put up a sign on a tree asking for information.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Just before 5.10am on Tuesday (October 18) police responded to a report of a serious single vehicle collision in Kennel Hill, Goodwood.

“Sadly a 24-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There were no suspicious circumstances and his next of kin have been informed.”
