Police have been attending an incident in a high street.
Officers were seen in Montague Street, Worthing, at around 2pm.
One bystander claimed someone had been hit in the head with a bottle although this has not been confirmed by police.
A small amount of blood can be seen on the floor outside Marks and Spencer supermarket.
Multiple police cars and an ambulance attended the incident.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
