THIS could well be my new favourite burger joint.

Honest Burgers has been on Brighton's Duke Street for a few years but I had not made it round there.

But there are lots of reasons to go. The outside seating is really nice, and is a stones throw from Churchill Square. Inside it is lively and cosy though so we headed in.

The staff are smiley and welcoming and the place was full, but for one table of four, luckily for us. Despite being busy our food came out fast.

I had been invited to try their chorizo special. We had mentioned it in our Taste section already so thought we had better take up the offer and give it a try.

It's a special for October so you haven't got long to try it.

This burger is a collaboration with Spanish food experts Brindisa and features authentic chorizo from La Rioja.

The Argus: Chorizo Burger

And I can tell you friends Tom Barton and Philip Eeles, who set up Honest Burgers after working together in Brighton, have come up with another really tasty burger, to quote the character Jules Winnfield from the film Pulp Fiction.

The beef goes really well with the two juicy slices of chorizo made of Spanish pork and flavoured with smoky hot paprika, salt and spices. The double helping of American cheese, confit garlic mayo, shoestring fries, pink pickled onions, and rocket set it off. The sausage skin can make it a bit tricky to bite through. I found it easier cutting up the chorizo with my cutlery. It is a great burger. Moist and packed full of flavour. Oh, and I definitely recommend the Burger Beer as an aperitif.

The Chorizo burger is available until October 31 for £14. As with all Honest Burgers meals, the special is served with homemade rosemary chips as standard.
