With the World Cup just under a month away, we have looked at some of the places in the city for you to watch it.

The first World Cup match is on Sunday, November 20, as hosts Qatar take on Ecuador.

England's first match is the next day at 1pm against Iran. 

The Three Lions are also playing USA on Friday, November 25, at 7pm.

Gareth Southgate's side then face Wales in their final group game on Tuesday, November 29, also at 7pm.

Brighton and Hove City Council said it has "no plans" to organise any screenings for the competition and no applications have been received for additional spaces to watch.

Where to watch it?

If you don't fancy watching it at home, there are plenty of spots that may appeal to you.

Brighton Palace Pier confirmed it is showing World Cup matches at Horatio's Bar. It will also show matches outside "weather permitting".

There will be a fan park in Brighton at The Arch in King's Road.

The screening, hosted by 4TheFans, is a ticketed standing event where people get the chance to meet a former footballer who will be hosting.

Former Brighton and Tottenham striker Bobby Zamora will be at England's first match versus Iran.

Tony Cottee, who played for West Ham and Everton, will be hosting for the USA match, while former Liverpool and Brighton defender Mark Lawrenson will be hosting the Wales match.

The King and Queen pub in Marlborough Place, Brighton, will be showing matches on its plethora of big screens. Seating will be moved from the indoor area for people to stand in.

Shelter Hall in King's Road Arches, Brighton, will be showing England's matches on a big screen.

The Font in Union Street, Brighton, will also be showing games on its big screens.

There are countless other venues across the city showing matches, all of which are bound to be busy for what will be the first ever World Cup held in winter time.

It is going to be a busy time at pubs across the country, especially if England can make the final on December 18.
