Pictures show the scene of a crash on the A23 at Pyecombe in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred at around 1.15am.

Police, ambulance and recovery crews can be seen attending.

A spokesman from Sussex Police said there were "minor" injuries and the road was cleared by 5.15am following carriageway repairs.

It was the second crash to occur at the same place on the road in 24 hours.

The first incident involved a car and van just before 12.45pm yesterday on the A23, southbound, opposite the Texaco garage.

One of the vehicles overturned.

Sussex Police confirmed that there were only minor injuries at the scene of yesterday's crash.

Police have been asked for more information about the incident in the early hours of this morning.
