Heavy traffic has built up following a crash involving a motorbike and a pedestrian.
The B2140 Worthing Road in East Preston, near Angmering railway station, is partially blocked in both directions following the incident, which happened around The Street.
Traffic has snaked on to nearby roads, including the Roundstone By Pass.
Delays of five minutes have been reported, with an average speed of around 10mph.
It is not known whether there are serious injuries.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
