A Brighton student has been showing off her woodworking skills on a Channel 4 TV show.

Chloe Hook, a student at the University of Brighton, has been showcasing her crafts as part of Handmade, a primetime show searching for Britain’s best woodworker.

Chloe, 21, has seen success on the show after completing a range of projects including clocks, rocking horses and a day bed.

Chloe said: "My work highlights the need for nature in our lives, not only through spending time outdoors and but also through design in our homes,"

"To be surrounded by objects that we appreciate and enjoy creates a more productive and happier environment."

Having studied on a 3D design course at the University of Brighton, Chloe also added that she had “access to a great range of tools and machinery” which had helped her on the course.

She is also the youngest contestant on Handmade, having got into woodwork through her love of the material as a sustainable form of craft.

In her spare time, Chloe is also part of a Celtic pagan drumming group and shares her crafts online through her Instagram page.

Chloe can be seen in Handmade on Wednesday, October 26, with the show airing every Wednesday.
