Firefighters were called to a “huge” bin shed fire.
Three fire engines from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze in Old Hop Gardens, Hailsham, last night just before 10pm.
There were no reported injuries and no suspicious circumstances.
The fire was at a new build housing estate.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We were called at 21.53pm last night to Old Hop Gardens in Hailsham.
“Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel and thermal imaging cameras.
“There are no reports of injuries.
“The fire is being treated as accidental.”
The fire engines were from Hailsham, Herstmonceux and Eastbourne.
