A “fab-boo-lous” development of three-bedroom mews homes in Hove will be opening its doors this Halloween weekend to offer a “spooktacular” sneak peek.

Hyde New Homes’ Amberdown development, situated on the border of the Poets Corner neighbourhood, has invited home hunters to its open house event on Saturday, October 29.

House hunters will have the chance to explore three different house types, each named after famous poets – The Byron, The Reynolds and The Shelley.

The latter is named after Percy Bysshe Shelley who was the husband of renowned author Mary Shelley, author of the Gothic novel Frankenstein.

The homes have each been decorated for Halloween, and children will have the opportunity to enjoy some sweet treats provided by the friendly sales team.

With demand expected to be high, prospective buyers can book an appointment between 10am-4pm.

NHS worker Danny Leach,36, who recently purchased one of the three-bedroom "Shelley" style homes through shared ownership for his family, said: “As first-time buyers wanting to stay in the Brighton area, and close to our children’s schools, affordability was a must, and, after visiting the development at its initial launch, we immediately fell in love.

“The team at Amberdown have been great. They helped us understand the benefits of shared ownership with ease, which meant that we returned the next day to progress with our sale.”

Minnie Dando, head of marketing and communications at Hyde New Homes said: “This is the perfect opportunity for buyers to explore this fabulous development while enjoying the weekend’s spooky festivities.

“Our team have worked hard to make this an open day with a difference, and they look forward to welcoming families and discuss the most suitable options for their personal financial circumstances and provide more information on our shared ownership scheme.”
