Three men have been arrested on drug offences after a series of raids in Sussex.

Police seized drugs, money and firearms in a search of three addresses in Worthing and a fourth in Lancing.

Officers found Class A drugs with an estimated value of £5,000, along with £1,000 in cash, burner phones and weapons in the search on October 21.

Trey Johnson and Edward Mills, both from Worthing, along with Callum Alex-Hunt from Lancing, were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on November 18.

Johnson, 26, of no fixed address, and Alex-Hunt, 28, of South Street in Lancing, were both charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Mills, 28, of Clarendon Road in Worthing, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, possession of a firearm without a certificate and concealing criminal property.

The warrants were executed as part of an ongoing investigation into the "Callum" county line.

After the items were seized and the arrests were made, officers sent text to all users of the line, informing them that police had taken control of it and providing them with details for drug support.

Detective Constable Jamie Carruthers from the West Sussex community investigation team said: “Once again this demonstrates our commitment to protecting people from the harm that drugs would otherwise cause.

“We will continue to work with other police departments as well as external support agencies to support the supply of drugs and signpost vulnerable users to support.”
