I agree with David Pritchard that Henry Allingham should be knighted.
He is one of only three surviving British veterans of the First World War who live in this country and he still actively reminds us all of the sacrifice of his generation. I also think that Harry Patch should be knighted. Harry is the only Tommy of the trenches left alive and, aged 109, wastes no opportunity in telling us how war is not worth one life. I think Bill Stone should also be considered.
I would like to point out to David Pritchard that Henry Allingham did get the Pride of Britain award, yet I agree he is shamefully ignored when it comes to a knighthood.
