A Sussex businessman is celebrating after receiving a cheque for £1.4m which he won on a gambling website.
The lucky player, who wishes to be known only as Jason H, won the windfall after his lucky number, 23, came up trumps for him while playing roulette.
Bookmaker William Hill has presented the 40-year-old with a cheque for £1,426,000, the third they have given out totalling more than £1m in the past five months.
William Hill spokesman David Hood said: "We must be the world's luckiest betting company... for punters. For Jason H, it wasn't a case of third time lucky, but 23rd time lucky as the number 23 came up several times in short succession.
"The client, because he was on such a hot streak, kept increasing his stakes with his winnings until he hit that magical £1.4m win.
"Since Christmas, we have written three £1m-plus cheques out to winning customers."
Mr H's win comes just weeks after Yorkshireman Fred Craggs won £1m after placing a 50p bet, and another internet casino player, known only as Mr X, landed £1m on a slot machine game in December.
